  • What time is check-in? What time is check-out?

    Check-in is at 4:00 p.m.  Check-out is at 11:00 a.m.

    Any early check-ins and/or late check-outs are subject to availability and additional fees.  Please contact the hotel to inquire about early check-in or late check-out options.


  • Is there complimentary Wi-Fi for guests?

     Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and common areas which is included in the cost of your stay.

  • How far is the hotel from the beach?

    The hotel is just about 400 feet away from the nearest beach. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach.

  • What attractions are close by?

    We're conveniently located near some of the most popular attractions in Santa Cruz including West Cliff Drive, Santa Cruz Wharf, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.  Please visit our Explore Santa Cruz page for more information.

  • Do you have rollaway beds or cribs?

    Limited rollaway beds and portable cribs are available on a first-come, first-served basis for an extra fee. Please contact the hotel for availability and room suitability.

  • Are pets allowed? Do you charge a pet deposit or fee?

    We welcome up to two dogs per room for a nonrefundable fee of $50 per dog per night. For more information about traveling with your dog(s), please see our Pet Policy.

  • What is an amenity fee?

    To enhance your stay, there is a nightly amenity fee of $15 plus tax.  This fee includes parking for one vehicle, wireless internet access, and printing and faxing.

  • Is on-site parking available?

    Parking for one vehicle is included with your stay.  All parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is limited parking available in the hotel lot. Overflow parking is available in the lot next door.  We cannot guarantee parking for additional vehicles.  If we can accommodate your additional vehicle, the $30 fee will be applied.

  • Are there elevators?

    All second-floor rooms are accessible by stairs only.

  • Do you have a pool?

    While no pool is available, the Pacific Ocean is a short 5-minute walk away.

  • Do you have smoking rooms or a designated smoking area at the hotel?

    Seaway Inn is a 100% smoke-free property; please smoke off the property on the sidewalk.


  • What's the minimum age for check-in?

  • Do you offer discounts for AAA or AARP?

    We offer discounted rates for military and senior citizens by contacting the hotel directly.  We recommend checking our website first for any promotional rates being offered.

  • How can I modify or cancel my reservation?

    • For reservations made directly by phone or on our website, please contact the hotel.  We cannot make any changes to reservations made through any third-party website.
    • All modifications are subject to our terms and conditions regardless of the source.

  • Can I change a reservation booked through a third-party website?

    We are unable to make any changes or cancel reservations that were made through a third-party website.  Please contact the third-party that you booked your reservation through to make changes. Reservations booked directly on our website offer better support from booking to stay's end.

  • What if my reservation has errors?

    If your reservation details seem incorrect including your reservation information or your name, promptly contact us and our guest services team will assist you.

  • How can I check-in after the office has closed for the night?

    If you will be arriving after office hours (12AM - 8AM daily) please inform the hotel at the time of booking, or as soon as possible.  You will be provided instructions on how to access your room after-hours.

  • What's needed for check-in?

    Photo identification and a valid credit card are required.  Please note that we will not be able to check you in if the names do not match.  We will also need to hold funds, up to $100 per room as a deposit for any incidentals or damages.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept the following credit or debit cards:  Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express; we also accept cash. All reservations must be paid in full prior to check-in.

  • Where should I book my stay to get the lowest rate?

    Booking directly on our website offers the best current promotional rates.

  • Can I pay for someone else's room?

    We require the payer to be present at check-in. Please utilize the “pay now” option on a third-party booking site if paying for someone else.

  • Can I get a room on the second floor?

    If your room has a view, then it is only available on the second floor.  With the exception of our Grand Suite, all other rooms are available on either floor.  Requests for second floor rooms are honored when possible. Please contact the hotel to request a room on the second floor.

  • Do any rooms have private balconies?

    There are no rooms that have private balconies, but there's seating outside for all our guests to enjoy during their stay.

  • Are there jacuzzi or soaking tubs available?

    All of our rooms feature private bathrooms with showers.

  • What is the maximum room occupancy?

    Occupancy varies by room type:

    • King Room - up to 2 guests
    • King View Room - up to 2 guests
    • Double Queen Room - up to 4 guests
    • Family Room - up to 6 guests
    • Grand Suite - up to 6 guests
    • Panoramic View Room - up to 5 guests
    • Deluxe Panoramic View - up to 6 guests
    • Exceeding the maximum occupancy for your room type will incur a nightly fee of $25 per additional guest.  With the exception of children under 5 or guests that request a rollaway.

POLICIES


  • Cancellation Policy

    • Cancellations are FREE up to 72 hours prior to 9:00a.m. of your arrival date. If you cancel within the 72-hour period, your advanced deposit, which is the first night’s stay, is non-refundable.. No shows are charged at 100% for the nights booked.  This cancellation policy is strictly enforced for all reservations booked directly with the hotel or through the third-party booking agents.  Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to cancel any third-party reservations within our own system.
    • All reservations are charged the first night (non-refundable deposit) 72 hours prior to arrival date. The remaining balance (if any) and any additional fees will be charged the morning of arrival date. All reservations are paid in full prior to check in.
    •  If you have booked a group reservation, please contact the hotel for the group cancellation policy that is applicable at the time of booking your reservation.
  • Children Policy

    Children 5 and under stay free of charge and do not count toward maximum room occupancy.

  • Parking

    • We have limited parking spaces on our property, with one space allotted per guest room. Our main parking area operates on a "first come, first served" basis. If you have more than one vehicle or if you anticipate visiting cars, please contact us to check if we can accommodate your parking needs. Please note additional fees will be applicable for the 
  • Additional Guests

    • Any guests over the age of 5, who are not utilizing a rollaway bed, staying in a room above its maximum occupancy are subject to a nightly fee of $25 plus tax.  The maximum occupancy per room type is as follows:
    • King rooms - up to 2 guests
    • Double Queens - up to 4 guests
    • Panoramic View - up to 5 guests
    • Family Suites, Grand Suite, and Deluxe 
    • Panoramic View - up to 6 guests

  • Rollaways/Cribs

    • A limited number of rollaway beds and portable cribs are available for guest usage.  Please contact the hotel if you would like to add one to your stay.  Both are subject to additional fees and are on a first come first served basis.  The nightly fees for each are as follows:
    •  Rollaways - $30 plus tax per night
    •  Cribs - $10 plus tax per night
  • Pet Policy

    We happily welcome dogs in all our rooms with a pet fee of $50 per dog (limit 2) per night.  Please note that dogs cannot be left unattended in the room or in your vehicle during your stay at any time.

  • Miscellaneous

    • CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION & DEPOSIT: We have an additional $100 deposit for any incidental damages that may occur. For cash deposits, we require a $200 cash deposit.  Guests are required to show a photo ID and valid credit card at check in. We will scan your ID and verify your credit card is the same one that you booked the reservation with
    • SMOKING & DAMAGES: To maintain a pleasant environment for all our guests, please be aware that Seaway Inn is a completely non-smoking property. Smoking in or near the rooms is strictly prohibited and will result in a cleaning fee of $250. Additionally, any damages to the room or removal of items will be charged at variable rates based on the cost of repair or replacement.
    • QUIET TIME: Out of consideration for our paying guests, we kindly request that all guests observe "QUIET TIME" on the property from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.  Any violations of our “QUIET TIME” will be subject to a fee.
    • ADDITIONAL FEES: Additional fees will be added to your reservation and charged upon check in.
    • Amenity fee: $15.00 plus tax per night. This fee includes parking, Wi-Fi, and printing and faxing.
    • Pet fee: $50 plus tax per dog (limit 2 per room) per night and 50 pounds per dog.)
    • Roll-away bed: $30 plus tax per night
    • Cribs: $10 plus tax per night
    • Extra person fee: $25 plus tax per night for any guests above maximum occupancy for room
    • Upgrade fees: applicable:  $20 -$100 plus tax (depending on your room upgrade)
    • Early check in fee: $35 plus tax (not guaranteed; please contact us to see this can accommodated)
    • Late check out fee: $35 plus tax (not guaranteed; please contact us to see this can accommodated)
